Strong Start and Consistent Effort in Half Marathon Lucas Grisham demonstrated a robust start in the UTHealth Houston Half Marathon with an impressive initial mile time of 3:43, positioning 4th overall and 1st in his division. Significantly, he moved to 1st overall between miles 2 and 3, showcasing strategic pacing. His performance remained strong throughout, maintaining a division lead from start to finish in the M40-44 category. Around the midpoint at mile 6, there was a noticeable shift as Lucas completed the segment in 5:28, his slowest up to that point, suggesting some opportunity for endurance building. Despite this, he recovered well and maintained a steady pace, completing the race in an overall 7th position with a total time of 1:09:09.
