Consistent Performance with Strong Division Finish Dustin began the race with an impressive first mile at a 4:36 pace, securing his spot in 8th place overall. By maintaining a competitive edge, he quickly improved his overall ranking, holding 1st in his division for the initial three miles. Notably, his best division placement was 1st in miles 2, 3, 6, and 7, demonstrating a strong ability to hold pace. As the race progressed, Dustin's pace varied, settling into a more consistent 6:32-6:43 pace per mile for the latter half. He finished the half marathon in 1:28:00, placing 2nd in his age division of M20-24. It may be beneficial to explore strategies to maintain initial speed during the middle miles to sustain a higher overall position.
