Consistent Performance with Notable Improvement Melinna Lara delivered a solid performance at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. Her split times show a consistent pace throughout the race. Starting with a 9:19 min/mile pace, she reached the 1-mile marker in 9:19 minutes. Although her pace slightly declined, with mile times ranging from 9:46 to 10:30 per mile, she maintained a consistent overall pace of 10:01 min/mile. Compared to her previous race in 2024 at the same event, Melinna demonstrated notable improvement. She reduced her overall time by 36 seconds, finishing in 1:02:09, which is an impressive progression. Her placement in the F40-44 division also improved, moving from 38th to 25th, indicating a stronger competitive performance this year. Focusing on sustaining her pace in the latter part of the race could further enhance her performance. Keep up the great work on improving those key areas!
