Consistent Speed with a Strong Finish Jin Chen maintained impressive consistency throughout the 10K event, achieving a total time of 41:44 with an average pace of 6:43 min/mile. This performance secured him an excellent 2nd place in his age division, M35-39, among 2010 participants in the UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. Notably, Jin improved his pace slightly after the halfway point, with his fastest split being the fifth mile at a 6:30 min/mile pace. In comparison to his previous half marathon, where his overall pace was 6:50 min/mile, Jin demonstrated a slightly quicker pace in this 10K race. His splits indicate strategic pacing with gradual acceleration after the third mile, suggesting a well-planned effort.
