Consistent Effort with Strong Finish Ahmed Fetooh completed the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon with an overall time of 1:58:52 and a consistent average pace of 9:04 min/mile. Starting with a first mile pace of 9:10 min/mile, Ahmed managed to gradually improve his pace, hitting a steady rhythm in the middle miles, including a quick 8:39 min/mile during mile 11. This particular pace was his fastest of the race, showcasing his ability to push towards the end. Notably, he gained position during the race, indicating his stamina and pacing strategy were effective. Throughout the race, Ahmed maintained a disciplined pace, consistently staying within a 30-second range for most splits. He experienced a slight slowdown at mile 8 with a 9:39 min/mile split. Despite this, his overall placement in the top 30% of his division (212th out of M30-34) and top 28% of all male participants is commendable. Working on maintaining his pace consistency throughout can further improve future performances.
