Consistent Pacing and Strategic Placement Yield Steady Results Nicholas Yapp completed the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon with a time of 1:48:01, demonstrating consistent pacing throughout the race. Notably, his average pace was 8:14 min/mile, aligning consistently with each split time. Nicholas displayed impressive mid-race acceleration; from mile 3 to mile 4, his pace improved from 8:01 to 7:54 min/mile, effectively moving up in placement in his division from 126th to 111th. These efforts highlight a focused racing strategy with a strong mid-race push. While the overall pace remained largely consistent, there was a slight slowdown observed after mile 5, with mile 6 clocking in at 8:31 min/mile.
