Consistent Acceleration Boosts Performance Logan Andrews demonstrated a well-paced and strategic race at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon. Starting with an 8:25 min/mile pace, he gradually accelerated, ultimately averaging a 7:48 min/mile pace by the finish. Notably, after mile 7, each subsequent mile was faster than the previous one, culminating in a strong finish with a final split of 7:01 min/mile. Throughout the race, Logan's position improved consistently. Initially placing 742nd overall after the first mile, he advanced to 459th by the final mile. His gender placement also improved significantly, moving from 611th in the first mile to 395th by the end. In his division, Logan achieved an impressive 33rd place finish. To further enhance future performances, focusing on maintaining early mile paces closer to the finish pace might help capitalize on the forward momentum observed in the latter stages of this race.
