Consistent Pacing Leads to Divisional Victory Matthew Solcher delivered an impressive performance at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K, securing first place in his division M25-29. He completed the 10K in 37:03, averaging a pace of 5:58 min/mile. His splits were remarkably consistent, with a slight acceleration observed in the second half of the race. Starting with a 6:06 min/mile on the first mile, Matthew pushed through to a solid 5:58 min/mile by mile six, showcasing strong endurance and pacing strategy. Notably, Matthew placed 5th overall and 5th among all male participants, out of a large pool of 2010 runners. Compared to his previous race in 2024, he improved his time by over a minute from 38:10, maintaining steady progress in his running performance.
