Consistent and Steady Pace Performance Michael Phan showcased a steady performance at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon. Finishing the 13.1 miles with an overall time of 2:00:37, Michael maintained a consistent average pace of 9:12 min/mile. His placings in the Men's 50-54 division hovered in the top 60, with a final placement of 58th out of more than 60 competitors in his division. Notably, Michael demonstrated strong pacing in the earlier miles, particularly at mile 5 with an impressive split time of 8:52, his fastest of the race. There was a slight slowdown observed between miles 8 and 10 where his pace dropped below 9:20 min/mile. He concluded the race within the top third of all participants, securing the 1480th spot out of 4907. Working on maintaining the faster splits observed early in the race could further enhance his performance in future events. Keep pushing, Michael!
