Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish Julia Colangeli from Houston, TX participated in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon, finishing with an overall time of 2:11:10. Throughout the 13.1-mile course, she maintained a remarkably even pace, averaging 10:00 min/mile. Julias performance was consistent, showing a progression in her pace from mile to mile. Notably, after a slight slowdown in the second mile with a split time of 10:35, she managed to improve her pace significantly towards the end, ultimately recording her fastest mile in mile 12 with a 9:38 min/mile split pace. Julia finished 2082nd overall out of 4907 participants and placed 639th among all female runners. Within her age division of F20-24, she secured the 83rd position. As part of the "Rad Runners" team, her performance demonstrated both stamina and pacing strategy, particularly evident in her ability to consistently quicken her pace from mile 4 onwards. For future races, focusing on maintaining her early mile pace might yield even better results.
