Consistent Effort Over 13.1 Miles Nina Banez demonstrated remarkable consistency throughout the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon. Completing the 13.1-mile course in 2:43:12, she maintained a steady average pace of 12:27 min/mile. Her early miles set the tone with split times around the 12-minute mark, including an initial pace of 11:46 in the first mile. While there was a slight increase in pace towards the end, Banez managed to keep within a relative range, closing the second half with consistent performance. Throughout the race, Nina maintained stable placements in her division, managing to improve from 111th to 108th by the conclusion, securing her position well within the F45-49 age group. Minor fluctuations did occur, with some splits slightly exceeding the averagemost notably at mile 10, peaking with a split pace of 13:00 min/mile.
