Consistent Pace Drives Strong Division Finish Cindy Hua demonstrated consistent pacing in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon. Maintaining increasingly faster splits each mile, Cindy showed impressive endurance and speed, especially in later miles. Starting with a pace of 8:04 min/mile in the first mile, Cindy increased her efficiency and reached a swift 7:15 min/mile by mile 13. This consistent improvement is reflected in her placement, moving from 83rd in female gender and 14th in the F25-29 division initially to finishing 9th in her division. Her overall time of 1:38:39 and an average pace of 7:31 min/mile placed her 340th overall and 44th in the women's category out of 4,907 participants. Notably, her progress in positioningfrom starting 542nd to finishing 329th overall towards the endis a clear indicator of her strong pacing strategy. Focusing on beginning the race at a slightly faster pace could further enhance her performance in future races.
