Consistent Early Pace and Strong Team Representation Rafael Rojas participated in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K under the "Between the Miles" team. He completed the race with an official time of 2:41:54, maintaining a consistent pace in the early stages. Notably, his fastest split time was 9:41 during the fifth mile, showing a boost that helped him maintain momentum in the later miles. His placement among participants was 3354th overall, demonstrating solid perseverance throughout the race. Although paces lengthened in the latter miles, Rojas maintained a steady pace of 12:21 min/mile overall. Evaluating the pace changes, it would be beneficial to target an even closer mile pace throughout, especially in the latter half. Consistent pacing can be refined in subsequent races, potentially by training to maintain the pace achieved in miles 3 and 5 over the entire course. Furthermore, maintaining consistent efforts alongside his team can offer additional moral support.
