Among the 4,907 participants, he finished 3,702nd overall, 2,180th among males, and 132nd in the M50-54 division. Early splits showed a steady pace; for instance, hitting the 5-mile mark at 1:07:54 with a 14:00 min/mile pace. However, there was a notable surge towards the end with a final mile split of 11:21 min/mile, demonstrating a well-managed end to the race. While he started with a pace of 12:17 min/mile, slight variations occurred during miles 2 to 9, with paces ranging from 13:03 to 14:23 min/mile. Impressively, Ali picked up the pace for the last three miles, moving from a 13:21 min/mile to his fastest split, suggesting a reserve of energy for a strong finish.
