Progressive Performance in the Race Whitney Graves completed the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K with consistent improvement throughout the race. Starting with a first mile split of 12:49, she managed to gradually increase her pace, reducing it to 12:36 per mile by the end of the race. Notably, her fastest split occurred in mile five with a pace of 11:58, showing a strong capability to push through as the race progressed. Throughout, Whitney successfully maintained a competitive position, moving up from 1140th to 1083rd overall, and improved her placement in the Gender F category from 643rd to 581st. In the 35-39 age division, Whitney's standings were impressive, moving from 87th place initially to finishing 83rd. Her finishing time was 1:18:07 over the 6.2-mile course. Continue to focus on maintaining the improvement seen in the later portions, as this demonstrates strong endurance and pacing strategy. Great work representing Team BGR! Houston.
