Consistent Start with Opportunities for Pacing Gains Daniel had a solid performance at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon. He maintained a consistent pace during the initial miles, kicking off the race with a pace of 8:03 min/mile. Notably, his pace stayed fairly steady through the first few miles, such as 8:03 min/mile at mile 3. This consistency in the early stages is a promising sign of his potential in distance running. As the race progressed, Daniel's pace varied slightly, with a noticeable slow down after mile 10, culminating in a 9:27 min/mile at mile 13. Encouragingly, he still managed an overall average pace of 8:25 min/mile for the half marathon distance, completing the race in 1:50:21. For future races, focusing on sustaining his early pace rhythm through the latter stages could improve his performance. His team, Houston sMiles, will surely be proud of his efforts and will be key in supporting his growth.
