Consistent Effort with Steady Splits Tameka Brown maintained a consistent pace throughout the Half Marathon, finishing with an overall time of 3:19:47. Her average pace was 15:15 min/mile. During the first half, splits showed a steady start with variations including a 12:41 min/mile at mile 2 and a 13:28 min/mile at mile 3. Placement after each mile was stable, starting at 1445th in gender and ending at 1685th. The second half showed more variability, particularly with the mile 6 split of 16:09 min/mile, followed by a notable 17:01 min/mile at mile 8. Observing these patterns, focusing on maintaining the early race pace for longer could enhance future performance. Ending the race in the top 248 of her division, Tameka's race concluded with positions in the latter miles showing gradual gains in gender rank. As part of the "BGR! Houston" team, she represented her group positively.
