Consistent Pacing with a Strong Start Zurisadai Ramos maintained a consistent pace throughout the first half of the race, showcasing a steady build-up in speed up to the 8-mile mark. Notably, his fastest split occurred between miles 6 and 7, clocking an impressive 8:30 min/mile. His placement showed slight fluctuations, but he held a solid position, peaking in the top 147 for his division at mile 7. In the latter part, a deceleration was observed as he averaged around a 9 to 10-minute pace from miles 10 to 13.1. While his final time was 1:59:27, just over the two-hour mark, maintaining a stronger pace towards the end could solidify his overall performance. Notably, within his age division M35-39, his placement shifted to 171 by the race's conclusion. Consistent pacing is fundamental, and focusing on maintaining post mid-race speeds will benefit future performances.
