Consistent Pacing with Room for Slight Adjustment Hembert displayed a commendable performance at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon, maintaining an average pace of 9:09 min/mile over 13.1 miles and finishing with a time of 2:00:04. Beginning strong, Hembert completed the first mile at an 8:59 min/mile pace but experienced a slight slowdown in the third mile, reaching a 10:08 min/mile pace. However, he managed to regain speed shortly after, consistently maintaining a sub 9-minute mile pace through several splits. The most notable fluctuation occurred in mile 13 with a 10:14 min/mile pace, suggesting a point for increased focus. Despite this, relative ranking throughout remained fairly stable, particularly between miles 6 and 10. Ending the race with a notable placement within his division (224th in M30-34), Hembert's strong finish provides a solid foundation to build upon for future races, particularly by maintaining speed during the later stages.
