Consistent Start, Slight Slowdown in Later Miles Michael Angelo Geronimo of Manvel, TX, completed the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon with an overall time of 2:07:38 and an average pace of 9:44 min/mile. Notably, he maintained a predominantly steady pace in the earlier miles, starting with uniform splits of 9:05 min/mile for the first three miles. His rank demonstrated an even performance in the initial part of the race. Specifically, he was placed 1429 overall after three miles, holding fairly consistent overall and in his division, M35-39. In the later miles, Michael's pace began to slow, and by mile 10, his pace increased to 10:34 min/mile. His overall ranking changed as his place shifted to 1761 after ten miles. Despite the slowdown, this performance was consistent considering the total participants of 4907, with a final place of 1881. Continually training to maintain pace across all segments can further improve results in future races. Remember, consistency in pace is key. Keep building on this strong foundation!
