Consistent Early Pace, Potential for a Stronger Finish Hunter Walker participated in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon, completing the 13.1-mile course with a finishing time of 2:30:45, an average pace of 11:30 minutes per mile. He maintained an initial strong pace for the first half, beginning with a 9:08-minute mile at the first split, and slightly slowing to a 9:29-minute mile by mile 4. His placement in his division (M25-29) progressed from 186th at mile 1 to 234th by mile 4. In the later stages of the race, Hunter's pace decreased, particularly evident at mile 12 and mile 13, clocking 13:30 and 16:51-minute splits respectively. Ending with an overall placement of 2,998 out of 4,907, constructive focus on consistent pacing and endurance in the second half could enhance future results. Competing as a member of the UTHealth Houston (Official) team, theres a strong team support potential to draw from in training.
