Steady Start with Opportunities for Improvement Aashish Gupta's performance in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K showed consistency in completing the 10K event with an overall time of 1:14:38 and an average pace of 12:02 min/mile. Noteworthy is the steady approach to the race, especially at the beginning where the first mile was clocked at 10:00 min/mile. Aashish began the race strong, placing 41st in his age division for the first mile. However, Aashishs pacing gradually tapered off, with each mile slightly increasing in time. By mile six, the pace extended to 13:24 min/mile. As the race progressed, Aashish finished 80th in the M30-34 division. For future races, it could be beneficial to explore pacing strategies to maintain the initial momentum throughout the course. Continuing to work on endurance could help lock in a consistent pace across all splits to stabilize or improve placements from start to finish.
