Consistent Improvement and Strong Finish Christi Johnson demonstrated a consistent and improving performance throughout the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon. Starting with a pace of 13:52 min/mile for the first mile, she progressively improved, recording a peak mile split of 12:12 min/mile at mile 3. Notably, even after a slower mile 6 at 16:59 min/mile, she managed to regain her earlier pace, maintaining an average of 13:50 min/mile by the finish. Compared to the previous year, Christi cut 4 minutes and 26 seconds from her overall time, finishing in 3:01:21. Within her age division, she placed 195th out of 203, a slight improvement in both her pacing and placement from the prior race. Christi's performance suggests potential for further enhancements with attention to evening out split times, especially in the middle miles. Her progress and commitment to training with the Friends For Life Running Team are commendable and promising for future events.
