Consistent Improvement in Every Mile Brenda Sanchez displayed significant progress in her latest performance at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. She completed the 10K distance with an impressive overall time of 1:04:30, demonstrating improvement in her pace with an average of 10:24 min/mile. Notably, she advanced from a previous pace of 11:14 min/mile in last year's event, indicating a strong enhancement in her running efficiency. Analyzing her splits, Brenda showed a steady improvement as the race progressed. Her pace went from 10:51 min/mile in the first mile, dropping significantly to 9:41 min/mile in the fifth mile, highlighting her ability to conserve energy and push harder in the latter stages of the race. Finishing 581st overall out of 2010 participants, and ranking 32nd in her division (F35-39) is commendable. Continued focus on speed workouts might yield even further improvements.
