Consistent Pace, Impressive Gender Finish Launa Fiore demonstrated remarkable consistency throughout the 10K event at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. Her overall time was 42:05, maintaining an impressive average pace of 6:47 min/mile. Noteworthy was her first mile, completed in 6:48, which established a steady rhythm for the race. She managed slight fluctuations in pace, with her fastest mile at 6:44 (miles 2 and 5) and slowest at 6:57 in mile 4. In terms of placement, Launa secured 3rd in her gender category and dominated her age division as the top finisher for females aged 0-14. Crossing the finish line as the 28th runner overall, she maintained strong performance despite a large field of 2,010 participants. A small area for potential improvement could be the slightly slower mile 4 split. However, maintaining a consistent effort throughout the rest of the race is commendable. Continuing this strong, steady pace in future races should yield positive results.
