Consistent Improvement and Strong Finish Luis Romero delivered an impressive performance at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon. With an overall time of 1:21:37, he maintained a consistent pace averaging 6:13 min/mile. After starting with a pace of 6:32 in the first mile, Luis improved, peaking with a swift 6:02 in mile 11. Notably, Luis advanced his position rapidly from 114th to 40th overall. His consistent speed from miles 5 onwards is commendable, demonstrating strong endurance and pacing strategy. In the Male 35-39 age division, Luis secured 8th place, and was 37th out of all male participants, showcasing his competitive edge. He ran with the Timeless Runners team and his splits indicate solid improvement, particularly from mile 7 through to the finish. Continuing to focus on maintaining this strong finish from the start could bolster future performances. Overall, his strategy and execution on race day were commendable.
