His placement indicates a consistent effort throughout the race, with an upward progression in placement as the race went on. Eliot demonstrated consistent pacing throughout the race, achieving slight improvements with each mile. Notably, he maintained a sub-7-minute pace for all 13 miles. The final mile was his fastest, completed in an impressive 6:41, showcasing his ability to push through fatigue and complete strong. Focusing on maintaining the quick closing speed Eliot showed in the last mile could serve well in future races for even stronger finishes. We'll use this race as a benchmark for future training targets.
