Steady Progress and Strong Finish Madison Shyer demonstrated a commendable performance at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. Her 10K run totaled 1:00:35, averaging a pace of 9:46 min/mile. Impressively, each mile was faster than the last, showing a consistent improvement throughout the race. Starting at a 10:48 min/mile pace for the first mile, she progressively quickened her pace to an 8:37 min/mile by the sixth mile. This consistent acceleration helped her finish in the top 30 in the F25-29 division and 155th among females in a field of 2010 participants. Madisons performance saw her overall placement jump from 670th after the first mile to 439th by the finish line. This level of improvement shows that her pacing strategy and stamina allowed her to move up over 200 places during the race.
