Consistent Pacing with Slight Deceleration Cinthya Perez participated in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon, maintaining a steady pace throughout the race. Her average pace was 9:36 min/mile, covering the 13.1-mile course with an overall time of 2:05:49. Starting with a 9:18 min/mile pace for the first mile, Cinthya gradually shifted to a 9:36 min/mile pace by the final mile. Her initial splits were consistent, as observed by her similar elapsed paces from mile one through six, reflecting solid pacing skills. While Cinthya showed some deceleration towards the latter half of the course, as seen from her split time of 9:59 in the penultimate mile, she maintained composure and completed the race as part of the Lover Girl Run Club. Ranking 500th among females and 93rd in her division, Cinthya's performance was commendable. Focusing on maintaining split consistency, especially in the second half, could enhance future outcomes.
