Steady Improvement and Strong Finish Allen Huang demonstrated impressive pacing in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. Starting with a 10:35 min/mile pace, he progressively improved his speed. Notably, Allen's fastest split was at mile 5 with a pace of 8:59 min/mile, showcasing a strong capability to accelerate as the race progressed. His consistent speed enhancements at each mile segment indicate a strategic approach to maintaining energy throughout the 10K. Allen finished with an overall time of 1:01:30, achieving a final pace of 9:55 min/mile. This consistently quickened pace propelled him to 470th overall among 2010 participants. In the M20-24 division, Allen secured 24th place, a reflection of his competitive edge and potential. Collaborating with the UTHealth Houston team, future training could focus on early race pacing to maintain consistently faster miles and maximize his finishing position even further. Well done!
