Consistent Effort with Steady Pacing David Law maintained a consistent pace during the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K, clocking a finish time of 51:48 with an average pace of 8:21 min/mile over the 6.2-mile course. His splits reflected a steady rhythm with slight variations, starting with an 8:02 min/mile pace for the first two miles and gradually adjusting to 8:35 min/mile by mile six. Notably, he placed 13th in his division in the final mile, suggesting a stronger push at the end of the race. Compared to his performance last year, his overall time increased by just over one minute and his pace was 10 seconds per mile slower. Despite some drop in finish time, David's consistency shows a solid foundation for pacing strategy. For future races, focusing on maintaining speed in the later parts of the course could contribute to closing the gap with previous finishes. Great effort representing UTHealth Houston (Official).
