Consistent Progression with a Strong Finish Matthew Kim participated in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K and completed the 10K race with a final time of 1:03:25. He maintained a steady pace throughout the race, averaging 10:13 min/mile, and showed a trend of improving split times as he progressed. Particularly notable were his final two miles, where his pace improved to 10:02 min/mile and 9:47 min/mile, respectively. His performance placed him 546th overall out of 2010 participants, which is commendable. Matthew started the race with a 10:32 min/mile pace. He consistently improved each mile, finishing strong in the Male 25-29 Division, placing 56th. There was visible progress from his initial position of 60th in his division, to finishing 55th in the last mile. The data suggests focusing on maintaining this pace and working on his early race speed could enhance performance even further in future races. Great job on the progression, Matthew!
