Consistent Pacing and Personal Improvement Joel Powell demonstrated impressive consistency in his performance at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. His average pace was 7:27 min/mile, and he completed the 13.1-mile course in 1:37:42. Splits were remarkably steady, with his slowest mile being 7:40 and fastest at 7:21. Maintaining almost identical paces throughout, he positioned himself consistently in the Mid-30s for his division (M40-44), an aspect to be proud of. Analyzing the year-over-year performance, Joel improved his previous half marathon time by nearly seven minutes from 1:44:27 to 1:37:42. This substantial time decrease also saw him move up significantly in the ranks, placing 320th overall out of 4,907 participants versus 525th out of 5,084 last year.
