Consistent Effort Amid Growing Competition LaShae Hawkins completed the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon with an overall time of 2:50:28, sustaining an average pace of 13:00 min/mile. Her consistency stands out; however, there's a notable slowing trend through the splits. Starting strong with an 11:01 pace through the first mile, her pace increased to 13:01 by mile 13. Despite this, Hawkins navigated her age division (F40-44) well, concluding at 180th place in her category. Comparing her performance to the previous year, she achieved a quicker finish of 2:12:31 back in 2024, maintaining a more aggressive 10:06 min/mile pace. While this year's results indicate a slower finish, maintaining pace over the distance remains an area of focus. Hawkins' participation with the BGR!
