Consistent Start, Slower Finish Jaden Marlowe maintained an impressive pace throughout the first half of the half marathon, showing strong consistency with splits between 8:33 and 8:41 per mile over the first seven miles. Particularly noteworthy was the effort in the fifth mile, clocking an 8:33 pace. Jaden's performance in those initial miles kept her competitive in her division and gender categories, consistently holding around the same position. However, the pace slowed down slightly after mile seven. The eighth and ninth miles saw a noticeable decrease in pace to 9:18 and 9:44, respectively, affecting her overall elapsed pace to finish at 8:55 per mile. This also resulted in a drop in places in the gender and division standings. Focusing on maintaining a steady pace during later stages could benefit future race performances. With a total time of 1:56:49, Jaden demonstrated solid endurance throughout the race.
