Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish Jacqueline Andrade, representing the Houston Striders, delivered a commendable performance at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon. Starting with a steady opening mile at 9:34 min/mile, Jacqueline progressively picked up the pace, maintaining an average split of around 9:06 min/mile overall. A noteworthy sprint occurred during mile 13, clocking in at a swift 8:28 min/mile, showcasing her strong finishing capabilities. Jacqueline's race strategy was consistently executed, as evidenced by her steady improvement in placement from 1580 to 1375 overall. Her effort in the female 30-34 age group was reflected in her placement of 73rd out of numerous participants. Maintaining focus during mile 8, which was split at a slightly slower 10:29 min/mile, will be beneficial in future races.
