Paced Performance with Mid-Race Hurdles Madhavi Machineni demonstrated consistent pacing in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon, joining Team HTW Mystic Milers. She completed the half marathon with a final time of 2:23:27, maintaining an overall pace of 10:57 min/mile. Madhavi started strong with a first mile pace of 10:33 min/mile, improving to 9:58 min/mile in the second mile, which was her fastest split. Performance tapered slightly in the third mile with a 12:48 min/mile split, impacting her mid-race standing. Her overall placement was 2,682 out of 4,907 participants. Notably, Madhavi maintained better consistency from mile 4 onwards, positioning herself in 911th place among female participants and 82nd in her division. With a slight fluctuation in split times through the latter miles, focusing on maintaining a more consistent pace throughout each segment may minimize ranking fluctuations in the future.
