Consistent Improvement Throughout the Race Joo-Hyung Lee demonstrated consistent improvement in pacing across the 10K event at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. Starting with an initial mile pace of 18:25, he maintained this pace for the first two miles. At the third mile, there was a marked improvement with a pace of 13:42, which helped Joo-Hyung advance from 1600 to 1554 in the overall standings. Throughout the remainder of the race, his pacing continued to improve, with final miles paced at 16:37, 15:33, and then 15:10. These improvements reflect an encouraging upward trend, concluding with an overall event pace of 16:14 min/mile and a final standing of 1506 out of 2010 participants. His performance in the M40-44 division improved from 79th to 78th place, showing his dedication and pacing strategy. Continuing this focus on pacing consistency could yield even better results in future races.
