Steady Pace with Slight Deceleration Aditya completed the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 2:59:59, achieving an average pace of 13:44 min/mile over 13.1 miles. The race began on a promising note with a first mile at 11:38 min/mile, which was Adityas fastest split. As the race progressed, pacing gradually slowed, with each split showing a slight increase in time spent per mile. The final split clocked in at 14:12 min/mile, leading to a consistent overall performance. Throughout the race, Adityas ranking shifted slightly. Starting at 3007th place overall, the position became steadier after the fifth mile, mostly hovering in the mid-3700s. In the male 30-34 division, Aditya placed 452nd. The minor deceleration between miles 8 and 12 suggests focusing training on maintaining endurance in the latter stages of the race could be beneficial. With the experience gained, Aditya now has a solid foundation to build upon for future races.
