Steady Progress with a Strong Start and Finish Annie Tran demonstrated consistent pacing in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon. Starting strong, her first three miles showed a steady improvement with split paces of 12:56, 12:45, and 12:27 minutes per mile. This gradual reduction in time reveals her initial strength and energy, comfortably handling the start. Her progression in the first miles is commendable, indicating that she has a solid early-race strategy. As the race progressed beyond halfway, split times increased, reaching 18:41 minutes per mile by mile 13. However, Annie finished the race with an overall pace of 14:30 minutes per mile, crossing in 3:10:05. Despite the slowdown, she maintained her division placement, finishing 189th in the F20-24 category out of 190. Focusing on pacing consistency in the later miles could enhance her performance. Currently, her placement amongst a large field of 4907 participants is respectable. Annies strong first half points toward potential for further growth.
