Consistent Pace and Strong Division Finish In the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon, Benjamin Black maintained a highly consistent pace, completing the race with an overall time of 1:11:34. His average pace was 5:27 min/mile. He started strong with his first mile being his fastest at 5:21, and maintained a consistent pace just a few seconds slower for the remaining distance. Notably, Benjamin secured 1st place in the M20-24 division against a field of competitive runners. This achievement is reinforced by his ability to remain within the top five overall and in male gender for most of the race. Interestingly, his splits were remarkably steady, only showing slight variation. For future races, consider focusing on maintaining the quicker pace from the earlier miles towards the end of the race for an even better performance.
