Consistent and Focused Effort with a Strong Finish Mohamed Moussa completed the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K with a steady performance. His final time was 1:18:25, maintaining an average pace of 12:39 min/mile throughout the 10K race. Observing his splits, Mohamed managed a consistent pace, starting with a 12:26 min/mile in the first mile and ending strongly with a 12:27 min/mile in the last mile. In terms of placement, Mohamed finished 502nd among male participants and 72nd in his M35-39 age division. Notably, his best split performance was in the 6th mile, where he improved his pace to 12:27 min/mile from the previous mile at 12:34 min/mile. For future races, working on maintaining the initial pace throughout, particularly in the middle miles, could lead to an even performance and potentially improve overall time.
