Consistent Pace with Strong Division Placement Wei Zhao ran a commendable 10K at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K, finishing in 47:56 with an overall average pace of 7:44 min/mile. Starting strong, his initial split was 7:47 min/mile, wrapping up the first mile in position 72 overall. Wei showed improvement in his second mile, clocking a split of 7:31 min/mile and moving up to 68th place. He maintained a consistent pace through the middle of the race, with splits of 7:38, 7:39, and 7:50 min/mile for miles three to five, respectively. Wei finished strongly, remaining competitive in his division, placing 7th in the M35-39 group. His ability to hold a steady pace with minimal pace fluctuations is a positive takeaway. To further enhance performance, concentrating on improving splits after the fourth mile could be beneficial. Overall, an impressive performance.
