Consistent Progress with Improved Pace Bernadette showed a consistent performance throughout the race. Her first split was 11:50, setting a strong initial pace compared to her overall time last year. The second split saw a calculated adjustment with a pace of 13:16 min/mile, a strategic move that maintained her stamina, allowing her to sustain an average pace of 13:31 min/mile. Her final split was 14:28, slightly slower but a testament to her maintaining pace in the final stretch. Comparatively, Bernadette showed significant improvement from her previous race, where her average pace was 15:06 min/mile. She outperformed her prior position, improving from 1788 to 1233 overall.
