Consistent Improvement with Strong Division Placement Georgine maintained a solid and consistent pace throughout her 10K race at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. She achieved an impressive elapsed time of 55:05, averaging an 8:53 min/mile pace over the 6.2-mile course, showing significant improvement from her previous race performance where she completed it in 59:17 with a pace of 9:33 min/mile. Notably, Georgine started strong with an 8:48 min/mile pace in her first mile and closely matched this pace throughout the run, finishing with commendable consistency. Her strategic pacing granted her a strong finish in the division, placing 6th in the F50-54 category, out of a substantial field of participants. Between the 2024 and 2025 races, her overall rank improved significantly. For future races, slightly closing the variation between her fastest and slowest mile splits could help in maintaining or even improving this upward trajectory, building further on her successful race execution.
