Steady Progress and a Strong Finish Hayden Smith delivered a noteworthy performance in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon, successfully achieving a consistent improvement in pace throughout the race. Starting with a 9:30 min/mile pace in the first mile, she strategically increased her speed, completing the final mile at an impressive 7:03 min/mile pace. Her final average pace was 7:56 min/mile, indicating solid endurance and pacing strategy. Amongst 4907 participants, Hayden positioned herself well, securing 544th place overall, 82nd among females, and 15th in her age division.
