Consistent Improvement in 10K Performance William Briscoe showcased a steady performance at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K, with an overall finish time of 52:59. Despite a slow start with an 8:58 pace in the first mile, he then improved his pace per mile sequentially, reaching an average pace of 8:32 min/mile by the end. Each split time mostly decreased, especially between miles four and six, ending with an impressive 8:19 for the final mile. Throughout the race, William's placement improved consistently, moving up in the overall, gender, and division standings at almost every mile. He began in 205th place overall and climbed steadily to achieve a final standing of 159th. Within his division for M30-34, he gained three positions, starting in 25th and concluding in 22nd. Continued focus on the middle segments of the course could provide opportunities for even better pacing in future races.
