Consistent Performance with a Strong Finish Thao Nguyen completed the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K with an overall time of 1:10:29, averaging an 11:22 min/mile pace. His split times show a consistent pace with a solid improvement in the final mile. Starting with a split pace of 10:59 min/mile, he maintained steady pacing through the first half. Notably, he accelerated in the sixth mile with a time of 11:06 min/mile, his fastest mile since the beginning, demonstrating strong finishing strength. Across the event, Thao's overall placements reflect determination in a competitive field of 2010 participants. In the Male 35-39 division, he placed 61st, and 418th in his gender category. Notably, he improved his overall placement between the third and sixth mile, climbing from 861st to 820th. Focusing on maintaining early race speed will assist in further elevating race performance.
