Consistent Acceleration Highlights the Race Jenny displayed a commendable performance in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. Beginning with an initial pace of 10:21 min/mile, she steadily accelerated through the following miles, reducing her split pace consistently. By the 5th mile, she achieved her fastest split pace at 9:20 min/mile. This increasing pace trend is a clear indication of her ability to build momentum as the race progressed. Jenny's effort landed her in 31st place in her division (F25-29) out of a total of 2010 participants, which is quite remarkable for the event. She completed the 10K with an impressive overall time of 1:00:36. Her average elapsed pace was a consistent 9:46 min/mile, demonstrating that she maintained her speed advantage to finish strong. For future races, focusing on the latter half of the course could further enhance her finishing position.
