Improved Consistency and Sprint Finish Diego Salinas showcased an impressive performance at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. His overall time for the 10K event was 1:18:42, translating to an average pace of 12:41 min/mile. Diego's placing among males was 508th out of the field and 87th in his M25-29 division. His performance showed resiliency from a challenging second mile to a stronger cadence in the latter part of the race. An analysis of Diego's splits reveals a strategic improvement over the race. After a second-mile dip to a 16:32 min/mile pace, noticeable improvements were made, especially the third mile, clocked at 11:18 min/mile. Diego maintained this improved pace in the following miles, closing with an 11:59 min/mile final mile.
